Artisans Enterprise
Artists can make money! This workshop focuses on the strengths of young artistry and business. We provided resources and direction for youth seeking to become true professionals through art. We answer the “how to” questions and create an atmosphere for personal and business entrepreneurial growth. This class is limited to enrollment.
Community Arts
These activities will be open to all of our youth. Here they will get exposure to culture, music, dance and an array of other diversified performances. We also provide performances by storytellers, ethnic / tribal dancers, poets, singers, musicians, actors, actresses, historians, educators, artists and others. Our goal is to introduce cultural diversity, encourage exposure to the arts and maintain a standard of supporting our community.
Creative Critique
This workshop is for those looking to have their work critiqued and/or enhanced. Instructors will look over your completed artwork and discuss individually the strengths and weaknesses of each piece. Students will receive professional criticism and gain insight on how to better market
their work.

Art Fundamentals
This workshop aims to develop visual perception and creative expression. In this session, students will focus on the principles of
Drawing, Painting and Design. Our instructors will also delve into Art History, Art appreciation and the culture of Art. This class is for beginning artists.
The Elements of Art
Using a multitude of styles and techniques, participants will explore the conceptual side of drawing and painting. Instructors will expose students to the cultural elements, and principles of design. In this session we will explore the dynamics of Lines and Marks, Shape and Form, Value (tone), Color, Texture, Space (composition), Balance, Rhythm, Harmony, Contrast and Emphasis.
Murals
Students learn how to express themselves by creating a portable and/or permanent community mural painting. We also teach them how to use an array of paints and their uses. Creating Murals is a collaborative process of translating thoughts and ideas into an organized composition. Through this workshop, we are able to create a public platform for young artists. |
